My wife and I lived in lived Waltham Vermont for 12 years. Upon retirement, we moved back to Connecticut to be closer to our 8 grandchildren. Over those 12 years, we greatly enjoyed your sauce. It was the closest in taste to the homemade sauce my Italian aunt Josephine taught my Irish mother to make. Needless to say, we stock up on it every time we go back to visit friends in Middlebury. I did google searches for Dell’ Amore but unfortunately, the nearest seller, Costco is over 35 miles away.
Realizing the difficulty of getting space in large chain stores, the Connecticut market for premium food items is extremely large. Especially in the small privately owned gourmet food establishments.
So until stores realize how good your sauce is, we will be sure to always stock up on our trips!

The Original Recipe Marinara Sauce is wicked awesome–so fresh, so tasty. I live about an hour away from Colchester, VT and first heard about Dell’Amore sauces on the local TV station. In response, I ordered a couple of jars and they were fantastic. It’s gotten to the point where I don’t bother making my own sauce any more, preferring to rely on Dell’Amore.
As amazing as the sauce is, their shipping is equally impressive. I ordered several jars on a Friday two weeks before Christmas, fully expecting it to take a week to 10 days to arrive given what shipping is like here in Vermont in the winter, especially around the holidays. The first batch I had ordered was shipped via FedEx (the only national carrier that reliably delivers up my hill). So I was expecting to get a shipping notice sometime the following week with arrival shortly before Christmas, if I was lucky. Then “much to my wondering eyes” I looked out of my window on Monday morning and saw Green Mountain Courier delivering my sauces–essentially the next business day. How amazing is that?
Seriously, you can’t go wrong with Dell’Amore sauces. Two thumbs up!

A friend in Texas, commented that he hasn’t had decent marinara sauce since his mother (who was Italian), died. So…. I ordered some Dell ‘Amore marinara and had it shipped to Texas. I first tasted the sauce when Frank was making Filamena’s pizza at the Monopole in Plattsburgh NY
There was the same photo of Filamena on the wall in the kitchen
I moved back to Florida – missing the sauce. One day I was in Publix grocery store and caught that Image out of the corner of my eye and it stopped me dead in my tracks. I have been buying it ever since then (often hard to find in Publix).
It is way better than any sauce – homemade, store-bought or in a restaurant. Since I am Italian-American, people want to take me to Italian restaurants – most are not good and none – even the expensive ones have a sauce like this!
Keep making it, Frank! Get it in more Publix stores and onto the middle shelves. It is often on the very top or very bottom.

We discovered Dell’Amore when we lived in Vermont for 5 years. When we moved to North Carolina we brought a case with us. What a wonderful surprise when I found out we could order it by mail. I grew up in the New York City suburbs, going to authentic Italian restaurants, and after my family moved away, I never could find Italian sauces that matched what I enjoyed as a kid…until I happened into Dell’Amore at a Florida supermarket. What a find! Now it’s all we cook with. Whenever a recipe calls for a good, rich, tasty tomato-based sauce, we go for our Dell’Amore. I order it by the case. It’s like being a kid again, only better!

I have tried almost all of the sauces out there. This one is just the best. We have been buying it for at least 25yrs. When I open a jar and pour it into the pot and start to heat it, I just can’t wait…I have to dip the spoon in and take a taste. It doesn’t matter if it’s room temp, or even cold from the fridge (in the rare chance we actually have leftovers) – it is always delicious. As the sauce heats I mutter to myself “Damn, that’s good.” We like the Romana with capers and artichokes, and the Sweet Basil & Garlic is great as well. But don’t be timid and only try the Original marinara like a lot of people do (which is also delicious) – go all the way to the Spicy Recipe!
Another thing; if you like to experiment on your own, Dell’Amore makes a great base for your own Vodka Sauce, Amatriciana with bacon and caramelized onions, or whatever you might try on your own.
The service on the phone is personal and caring, thanks greatly to Frank’s (the owner) son Anthony. You know that things are in good hands with the next generation doing such an exceptional job. I do have one small but important criticism – where I live the products are not in enough stores. More people should be able to buy these wonderful products!

I first heard about Dell'Amore from a man who served as the kosher food buyer at Fairway, who simply raved about your product. I tried it and loved it, and have been hooked ever since. Fairway raised the price of your sauce but he said to me, "This is still a viable product. In fact, it might be the best product in this store." I use no other tomato sauce. I especially like the Original Recipe and Sweet Basil and Garlic flavors. I don't know how you make it so delicious!

I have a very sensitive stomach and usually had problems with jarred sauces or homemade sauces all my life. My son first served me some of this marvellous sauce about 15 years ago, and I was quite amazed at how delicious it is! I used to buy some for myself for special occasions, then decided life can be so unpredictable, so why not have the best each time! And it is THE best! I have had all the different flavours over the years, and been so happy with each, although spicy is my very favourite.
Let me add that the family who makes this great product takes their sauce and it's delivery very seriously! I've had a chance to talk to Frank and his son on occasion and I have been delighted each time at how much they care.
It does come in a glass jar, but don't worry about ordering it as it is packed so well.

Having grown up in a large Italian family where my grandmother’s homemade sauce was so wonderful, it was a challenge finding a sauce equally as great. I purchased your sauce during a personal taste-test shopping trip to find a jarred sauce that best resembled my Mothers. I became more and more discouraged as I went through jar after jar. When it was time to give Dell’Amore its chance at bat….HALLELUJAH! It was like my Mother was in my kitchen cooking her sauce! Dell’Amore is the only marinara sauce my husband and I can eat. Your sauce is the only one that is easy on our digestive systems because it is less acidic and not too spicy. Every other sauce (and we’ve tried them all) gives us acid indigestion and other digestive discomfort. Also, Dell’Amore marinara sauce actually tastes like real tomatoes. Every other brand of marinara sauce tastes like a jar full of Italian spices, which always overwhelms the tomato taste. Dell’Amore is the best. We sometimes add sauteed onions and a little ground beef to it, which can’t be beat. It’s also really good in recipes like meatloaf and any other recipe that call for tomatoes. Dell’Amore makes it possible for us to eat Italian again…and more often! We just absolutely love this product.

I wanted to write and thank you for creating the best pasta sauce. My family has had many different pasta sauces, including my own “gravy” which is grandmom Rita’s recipe and cooks for over 4 hours. By far your Dell’Amore sauce is the best we have ever had.
First of all, it is all natural. We love that there are no added sugars or any additives.
On Christmas I had the best surprise. Fourteen guests were present. My first course was homemade non-frozen cheese ravioli. My family loves these. We have these on special occasions usually with my homemade gravy. Unfortunately, I was not able to make my own. This Christmas I used your Dell’Amore sauce after tasting a sample at our local Costco and purchasing the sauce.
I opened the jars prior to arrival of our guests so no one would know the sauce was jarred. My guests raved and raved about my sauce asking me what I had done that was different. No one suspected the sauce was not mine. I broke down and said the sauce was Dell’Amore. As hard as it was, I decided to give credit to your company. Everyone was amazed when they heard it was not my own sauce.

On a recent trip to Costco I was approached by Pat who insisted (in a very good way) I try your Dell’Amore Premium Marinara sauce. WOW immediately I could taste the freshness I never imagined would have come from a jar.Of course I had to check the label to see what was in it. All the ingredients I use, nothing more nothing less. “My husband and I lived in Switzerland for many years, and after being back in the U.S., only got some REALLY good prepared sauce when we found YOURS! Before finding your brand, I always made it from scratch, with plum tomatoes, butter, garlic, olive oil, and basil, plus a few other spices. My husband cannot eat onions, so the added advantage to your very fresh tasting sauce, is that it DOESN’T have them. In Europe, there are lots of options of prepared food WITHOUT onions, but in the U.S., there are hardly any. Your sauce has made my life MUCH easier. Please NEVER change it!! “Over 20 years ago I bought a jar of Dell`Amore Premium Marinara Sauce (Original Recipe) at Cowan & Lobel, a local gourmet store – my husband Jim and I thought it was the best sauce we ever had! I also loved the fact that it had no added sugar (a rare find, indeed) – I was in 7th heaven! Since we used it just about every day, I made sure we had an ample supply on hand.
Upon the closing of Cowan & Lobel, Jim and I said, “Oh no! Now what are we going to do???”. I had a bottle left so I called the 1-800-962-6672 # on the label to inquire if we could have some shipped to our home. I had a delightful conversation with Frank Dell`Amore (one of the owners) and he was happy to take my order for his spectacular sauce. Imagine his surprise when I ordered 5 cases! “I first noticed Dell’ Amore pasta sauces in the Philadelphia Italian Market over 30 years ago…and I have been ordering from the company ever since! This brand is not available in our small town, but it is worth seeking out! Dell’Amore provides excellent customer service, so ordering has always been very efficient. My teen agers loved these sauces when they were still at home, I sent them cases when they moved into their first apartments in college, and we have now nourished 8 grandchildren on pasta with Original Dell’Amore Sauce. Spicy Recipe is our other favorite. I am an avid cook, but it is wonderful to have a few convenient products that taste so homemade! I feel that Dell’Amore provides healthy choices, and I appreciate that they are also lower in sodium than other brands. I like the recipes and the texture of the sauces as well…fresh tasting, not too chunky. They are also very versatile, and I often add meats or seafood for variety. Dell’Amore is the only commercial pasta sauce I will use…it is delicious!”
